How do you say “Please don’t kill me” in Spanish?

Posted by on July 20, 2007

I figure this may be one of the key phrases that will make my life in Barcelona easier.

As my date of departure approaches-tentatively Sept. 20th- my new adventure is starting to become a reality.

Like I said before, it wasn’t an easy decision but it came down to the fact that if I didn’t go, I would regret it for the rest of my life. I’m at a point where I’m not tied down to anything in Canada. I recently moved back home with ma and pa, my car is fully paid off, my current job is expendable(i’m selling advertising) and my long-time girlfriend and I just split up in March.

I don’t know if you can hear it, but my life is screaming, “Get the f*&K out of dodge and go create some new experiences!” Because I think that’s what I’m starting to realize, life should be all about a chain of unique experiences to shape who you are.

If you keep your head in a book your whole life, you will have built a world around someone the voices of others.  And conversely, if you spend your entire life living on your own opinion as gospel, you’d have missed out on the beauty and intellect within the minds of the billions of people around you. Sadly, I know some people that do both. Figure that out.

Each day my departure to Barcelona nears I’m excited with the possibilities that await me. A new and interesting job opportunity, millions of new faces, views and lifestyles to discover.

And for the colossal cherry on top, did I mention I get to be an entire ocean away from my ex-girlfriend? I may just be the luckiest guy I know. 😉
